Metro Detroit Athletic Officials
Due to the postseason exam not yet being available from the MHSAA, the test review meeting schedule for this Wednesday December 11th is cancelled. We will reschedule a virtual meeting once the test is released.
In the meantime, we STRONGLY encourage you to check your MIGS status on the MHSAA website.
Reminder that the MIGS deadline for basketball is Thursday December 26th!
The MHSAA will not allow us to add people after the deadline!
Don’t delay reviewing your status! One of the qualifications to officiate basketball in the postseason is to be a Member In Good Standing (MIGS) with an approved local officials association. We have updated our list on the MHSAA website.
Please remember that if you are MIGS in basketball that you should show as MIGS TWO times (once for boys and once for girls basketball).
How to check your MIGS status on the MHSAA website!
1) Go to www.mhsaa.com and login to MY MHSAA (red button upper right hand corner) with your username/password.
2) Then click the MY MHSAA (should be a blue color now) to pull down a menu of options.
3) Click “Officials Services”
4) Click Member in Good Standing
5) Confirm you are listed with at least one approved association for both boys and girls basketball (if you intend to officiate both).
You may choose to be part of any local approved association as long as they support basketball. If you plan to join the Metro Detroit Athletic Officials association, please submit your registration dues as soon as possible. Again this year, electronic payment is possible!
